About Life Change Choices
This website is about Life Change Choices because I know how it feels to seem lost. I needed to learn about choices and have the courage to change.
I was born from a wonderful family and I am grateful for that. It wasn’t until I left home, that I realized how lucky I had been growing up.
The life my husband had growing up was not lucky. After being present when his mother committed suicide, when he was almost three, he was passed around through abusive foster homes with different degrees of mean. St. Joseph home for boys was the worst. I was amazed how he conquered problems in life having had no structure or mentors. I salute him, for the way he endured such an unfortunate upbringing. Today, the hands of time have changed. Children have a voice with authorities.
My husband had a criminal record and he believed that he could not get a good, enjoyable job. He settled for painting, but hated this job most of the time. He tried few small businesses, but his addictions prevented him from finding success. He considered me his best co-dependent, until he died in 2005.
After he died, my two daughters and I were left finding our way out of the mess we lived. A great gift came into our lives when my youngest daughter gave birth to her son. My grandson motivated us to look for a better life for our family.
I was desperate to find answers. As we went through a life changing path, we realized valuable lessons in life. I realized that as long as I am living, I can do things that can improve our lives. I became inspired to share my life changing experience with people like you who want a happy life. I hope that this website will help you find ways to change for the better.
At Life Change Choices, we help deal with difficult situations in life. We explore problems involving employment, mental health, incarceration and returning home. Oddly enough, real change actually begins when we say “I quit. I’m done.” Because that’s when we realize that what we’ve tried doesn’t work. And we’re ready to change our dance.
This is also the reward time for those ready to benefit from all the hard work they have done. And for those still suffering, to be able to see beyond the storm. There is indeed gold at the end of the rainbow after the rain.
As Cher said, “Don’t count me out.”

We’re Embarking on a New Road
We’re embarking on a new road. But nothing will be as hard as the road we just traveled. I have an MSW (Social Work). But no diploma can replace life experience. We are experts. You are experts. And when we realize something that helped us, we pass it on, and on, and on. We learn about Choices. Then we learn about change.
Life Change Choices believes that unhappy people can change, that families can adjust to their unique imprint. We are about changing our family’s dance into a new set of footprints. Our childrens’ children will benefit. People who have lived through what we have are strong. It is that strength that we will draw on to create the life we want and deserve.
My Story
Everyone has a unique story. You do. I do. Even Walter Mitty, who believed his life was so dull that he extravagantly embellished the entire story. I’ve decided to take a stab at my auto-biography. I don’t know where to start. So I’ll simply start at the beginning and write. I’ve tentatively entitled it “Choices,” and it is the reason I created this website. Because I am not alone.
