Helping You Turn Your Life Around, Every Step Of The Way
Inspiring & Healing Those Who Need It Most
Welcome to Life Change Choices. You may feel as though your world is spiraling out of control right now. Even though you have been released from the confines of your prison cell. The weight of the world can seem overwhelming when you first re-enter the real world. Some of you may be captive in a prison in your mind with no bars at all. It is no secret; the real world can be a harsh and unforgivable place. How you handle it is what is going to be key to your success. Prepare for the bad times so they do not hit you as hard as they used to.
Life Change Choices was created to give you the tools and advice you need to take these burdens on. These issues are held close to my heart, having a late husband who was a felon that had employment problems, addictions and mental health issues. It was disheartening and discouraging. It made finding happiness very tough for him, and I want to ensure that these unfair situations don’t happen to anyone else.
You will find that our site is filled with assistance in many areas of your life. One is helping ex-offenders get their feet back on the ground, while finding a job they are actually passionate about.

Live Life To The Fullest Outside Of Prison Bars
You may have made some mistakes along the way or suffer from a mental condition that led you to time behind bars. It is highly common for those who suffer from mental health and addiction problems to find their way into prison. However, instead of condemning you or defining you by these issues—we aim to help.
Giving you assistance in finding support, employment opportunities, legal problems, relationships, mental health, and addiction. All of these areas of your life, if left unmanaged, can lead to repeat offending. When you get released from prison, you may almost feel like you are in a new kind of prison. It is a common trap that other felons like yourself experience.
Life Change Choices allows you to escape or avoid these traps, guiding you to a life of fulfillment and happiness.

Happiness after Depression
You can Find Happiness after Depression Based on a true story by Matt Newnham, Cape Town, South Africa. Capper’s Staff Good Old Days. When I was a child in a small town, I’d lay at night and listen to the sound Of the clickety-clack, clickety-clack, Of train...
From Negative to Positive
When we make decisions that influence our lives in a negative way it usually has a negative effect on the way we see ourselves. We might feel like we made a mistake that is so big we can’t bounce back from it. Feelings of self-doubt might infiltrate our minds and we might feel like we will never be able to be the person we were before. This is not true and we should avoid these thoughts and feelings at all costs. You are not the mistakes you have made; in fact, they can help you grow into someone you aspire to be. You should take these negative experiences, sit back and ask yourself: how has it shaped me into the person I am today? There is something positive to be found in every situation and once you start seeing this, it becomes easier to see how to change your life.
Sitting in a constant state of negativity regarding your life choices can lead to depression and even further mental problems. This is not the ideal condition that you want to be in when starting a new life. Even though it is difficult bouncing back from addiction and the emotional problems that come with it, it is not impossible, and you should not think that you are a ‘lost case’. Everyone is subject to change – that is what makes humanity so wonderful!
The way you bounce back will also depend on the personality traits you have. Some people are competitive and they love a challenge, meaning that it is not very likely that something will get them down very easy. Others are a bit more sensitive to their surroundings, and that is fine, too! We are all different and there is no right or wrong way for you to deal with emotional trauma or stress. You have to do what works for you without getting involved with negative people, negative experiences, or negative energy. You will find that when you switch to the positives, the way you deal with life choices will become more substantial and easier to maintain.
There are a few easy ways in which you can deal with making new, positive life choices, but the first thing you need to do is do decide that you want your life to change for the better – you want to be the best ‘you’ that you can be. If you do not make this conscious decision, then it is going to become increasingly difficult for you to stick to your resolutions. Here are a few tips on how you can make important, positive life choices.
Remember the value of your decisions
The value of your decision will depend on how you see the world. There is a very interesting analogy when it comes to defining value: you might get water from your tap for a few pennies, but a wanderer in the desert will pay hundreds for a cup of water. When you make your decisions, choose the things that mean a lot to you. The fact that you need to evaluate it also means that you will have to make these decisions on your own. Consult with others but take the final leap by yourself. Set your goals before choosing.
This is very important as you need to know what you want to achieve when making these decisions. If you want to live a positive life it doesn’t make sense for you to fall back to negative habits. An effective way to reach the goals that you want to achieve is by writing them down and sticking them somewhere you can see them every day. Look at it every morning when you wake up, keep it in the back of your mind and ask yourself the following question before making decisions: “Will it help me get to my decided goal?”
Generate Alternatives
When it comes to decision-making, you need to be aware that you alone are responsible for the decisions you make – good or bad. If you are unsure of a decision, generate alternatives for the situation. Having a wide array of choices to choose from will lead you to making better and more informed choices. Talk to others who have been in the same position as you if you need to explore these alternatives further. Having more than one alternative ready does not mean that you are indecisive; it just means that you want to be well-prepared for the outcomes.
Keep your effort proportional to importance
What this means is that you should put more effort into decisions that rank as more important. Take time to think it through and do not make any rash decisions. These are decisions that might influence your life to a great extent. On the other, do not take too long as this might lead to self-doubt regarding the decision. Set a deadline for yourself and make sure you stick to it. Do research if possible and consider each possible decision’s outcome.
Take a structured approach in your decision-making
Not all decisions are going to require a level of hard-thinking and there are going to be moments where you have to make a decision on the spot. Here you are going to have to learn how to trust your own judgement. These are going to be simple everyday decisions that probably won’t have a very big effect on your life, but will still influence your own psyche on another level. A ‘structured’ approach means that you need to know when you switch between one level of deciding and the other. This will depend on you and which situations you view as important.
Life Change Choices—Success Stories
Life Change Choices gives you the motivation and inspiration you need to create your own success story. However, to prove to you that this is possible, here are a few stories of people who once struggled. Only to make the choice to turn things around—with sensational success.
Waitress to Financial Guru
The life of Suze Orman, a world famous financial guru, is one shining example. Working as nothing more than waitress making minimum wage and working off the little tips she was given. She strived for something greater, something that may have seemed impossible. Through perseverance and commitment, she is now the author of Yahoo’s best seller “Money Matters”. Influencing thousands of people to build a financially successful life.
65 Year Old Becomes Global Powerhouse
Another inspiring story is that of the famous Colonel Sanders. The founder of the global KFC restaurant franchise. What makes the Colonel’s story all the more impressive, is his decision to turn it around at the age of 65. Living a long life of disappointments and failures, it would have been easy for him to submit to his way of life. But he refused to give up, and he refused to let that be his legacy.
After perfecting his now world famous chicken recipe and opened his first Kentucky Fried Chicken, he quickly rose up the ladder of world business people.
One common theme with these two success stories is their determination never to give up. No matter how long they had suffered or how small they started their careers, they continued to believe. You can reach these very same height, and it will only be a matter of how badly you want it.
You may feel that you have no chance right now, that you can never amount to much. But, you are dead wrong, and with the assistance of Life Change Choices to help you along the way—you too can become a magnificent success story!

You are not alone. According to Peter Wagner and Bernadette Rabuy in their report titled Mass Incarceration: The Whole Pie 2016, published March 14, 2016, “The American criminal justice system holds more than 2.3 million people in 1,719 state prisons, 102 federal prisons, 942 juvenile correctional facilities, 3,283 local jails, and 79 Indian Country jails as well as in military prisons, immigration detention facilities, civil commitment centers, and prisons in the U.S. territories. Every year, 636,000 people walk out of prison gates. There are another 820,000 people on parole and 3.8 million people on probation.”
President Bush once said prisoners should come out better than when they went in. Can’t happen. One hears every day how they are useless, a burden on society and worth nothing and they come out anything but better.
The purpose of this book is to help: (1) break the brainwashing that they experienced during incarceration. (2) Get prepared as possible for release. (3) Leave with hope rather than fear. (4) Meet immediate needs. (5) Earn an income. (6) Discover who and what they want to be. (7) Have do-over spots if necessary. (8) Become.
The moment of release can quickly turn to terror upon release: having to find a home, food, transportation, a phone. One leaves prison with little money for release to get re-established. Employment background checks are performed today with a click of a computer button eliminating most jobs.
Consider your MAP just as important as the air you breath.
